LG WT5680HVA

Only had a couple weeks and still and happy with it. The giant top of the line 4 year old Front load washer we had never got the laundry smelling clean, so I didn't fix it when it broke rather bought this and it so far is doing a great job. I had limited my bluejeans to 5 at a time in our old machine that advertized it could do 16 at once. This LG has done a great job with 10 pair in a load I did, and it probably could do more but I didn't want the dryer to overstuffed. I don't think it is spinning as fast as our old front loader, not quite as dry, but that old machine was hard on my clothing wearing holes in them so the limiting speed is likely a good thing. I am scarred to wash a load without the extra water option, but wife did hers and they came out fine. The steam, or turbo, cycle selection descriptions is not clear what exactly they do. As a mechanic I don't like descriptions like powerful, deep,or intelligent. I want to know what it does rather than a sales pitch or a non descriptive guide that allows engineers to change how it works, while using the same user guide. I'm not sure of what cycle selection works best, if you don't care about using extra water. I will push the extra water button if it allows it on that type cycle. Wish the lid didn't lock, Doesn't have a light inside tub, and the glass lid gets so wet can't see what is going down there even with a flashlight. Sure like to see the water height, but in a cold garage steam quickly blurs the glass. The tub is deep and if your short with short arms you may need to stand on something to reach the bottom. - Customer Reviews
