I have never been really excited to do laundry, but this amazing washer from Speed Queen has me looking for things to wash. Our GE washer recently broke and after reading reviews on Amazon, we decided this was the washer for us since it had the highest ratings. I wasn't very familiar with Speed Queen and then my husband reminded me that it is a commercial brand that is used in laundromats and apartment communities everywhere. Seriously, this washer means business. As another reviewer stated, there are no bells and whistles, just the basics you need to wash your clothes really well. The machine is very well constructed, and is very sturdy. The tub is solid stainless steel and comes truly perfectly balanced from the factory...no crazy noise in the spin cycle. In fact, all of the cycles are very quiet - I didn't even realize the machine was in it's spin cycle on that first load. The machine is also fast. I find myself researching Speed Queen dryers now since I think my old GE is starting to feel inferior! This washer is on the more expensive side when comparing to most mainstream brands in the big box retail stores, but it is worth every penny. I have no doubt that this Speed Queen washer will last forever.
